Symphony Orchestra Season Opener: Collaboration Concert

Join us for works by Telemann, Vivaldi and Beethoven!

The Sonoma State Symphony Orchestra kicks off its 2018-19 season in collaboration with the Musicians of the Valley of the Moon, who will open the concert with the Piano Trio opus 3 No. 3 by Beethoven and be featured soloists (Maria Romero and Carla Moore) in Concerto Grosso Op. 3 no. 8 by Vivaldi. Winners of the 3rd annual Orchestra Concerto Competition, Spencer Causey (horn) and John Mayer (trombone) will play Telemann's Concerto in D for two horns. The concert will conclude with Beethoven's self-described "apotheosis of the dance," the Symphony No. 7. Alexander Kahn conducts.
