This class is a weekly forum for vocalists to perform solo repertoire-in-progress. Students are divided into three groups which perform in alternating succession throughout the semester. After performing, students receive constructive criticism and direction from the instructors. Weekly discussion topics include elements of performing, and visiting artists conduct occasional master-classes. Students produce three full repertory concerts per semester as a result of these endeavors.
VocalRepertory is co-led by Program Director Dr. Lynne Morrow and the Voice faculty.

The SSU Vocal Program is a thriving wing of the SSU Music Department. Voice students participate in a broad range of performance activities including major choral-orchestral works, opera, chamber music, musical theatre and solo recitals. The performance program is augmented by a strong curriculum in theory, ear training and piano and music history, helping the student to develop as a complete musician. Vocal students may select the Performance concentration, a curriculum emphasizing the development of strong technical and interpretive skills as well as diction. Students audition for private instruction placement with our voice faculty. Vocal Repertory class is required of all Performance majors whose primary performing medium is the voice.
Vocal program faculty includes Lynne Morrow, Music Theater and voice; Jane Hammet, Zachary Gordin, voice, diction; and Jenny Bent, choral music.
